Thank you for your interest in Glacier Camp & Conference Center. Our facilities and programs have been a blessing to many since 1928, and we hope that you will have the opportunity to enjoy them as well.

 

We have tried to include as much information as practical to help set up your event in our Lake Lodge Complex, Spruce Lodge or other facilities.  However, most folks have many questions, so Please feel free tocall us at 406.844.2114. We will be happy to check the calendar for open dates and to answer any questions you may have.

 

While GCCC serves the churches of the Presbyterian Church, USA, our mission includes programs and services for virtually any and every individual and group.  As we work and play together, we know that both your group and ours will benefit and grow.

Site Features

 

GCCC has beautiful views of the majestic Mission Mountains across Flathead Lake, the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi river .  Beautifully clear and blue, the lake is full of fish and recreational opportunities.

 

We are located in northwest Montana about 40 miles from Glacier National Park and the Bob Marshall Wilderness area as well as about 15 miles from Montana’s newest family ski area. There are several excellent rafting rivers within a short distance.

 

Chapel and Amphitheaters: A rustic log chapel seats 75 with a nearby campfire ring seating 100.  Vesper Point with seating for 150 is located on the bluff with beautiful views over the lake. The outdoor amphitheatre, the site for many weddings, is also located on the bluff and has seating for 200.

 

Waterfront: waterfront and shoreline activities include swimming, canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing, boating or just soakin' up the sun.

 

Bouldering/Traverse Wall: This eight foot high 72 feet long wall is designed for people of all ages to play and practice their rock climbing skill. Real rock climbing is available within a short drive.

 

General Activities: basketball, sand volley ball court, horseshoe pits, Frisbee golf (folf), game room with pool and ping pong, hiking, and trail walks.

 

Challenge Course: includes a high ropes course with eleven elements. There are also several fixed initiative/low ropes stations and activities with trained staff to facilitate your use of this valuable resource in group and individual development.

What to bring:

Clothing appropriate for all weather conditions.

Some programs require your own bedding and towels.  Normally, all linens are provided, especially in Spruce Lodge.

Clean Up:

To keep costs low, with some programs guests are asked to assist in cleanup of the facilities they use with provided supplies.

 

Dining Facilities:

Our dining facilities may be shared space when more then one large group is on site. Private dining space is always available for smaller groups.

 

Audio-Visual Equipment:

We a television, VCR/DVD’s, CD’s, overhead projectors, screens, and a video projector that may be reserved (fee) in advance of your arrival. Easels and dry erase boards are also available.

 

General:

Weather;

            Summer: Highs, mid 90s; lows 50s.

            Winter: Highs, 40’s; lows, below freezing.

Pets: Please do not bring them.

Alcoholic beverages consumption must be in compliance with GCCC Alcohol Policy signed and on file. Drug paraphernalia, firearms, ammunition, fireworks and other illegal substances and materials are absolutely prohibited.

GCCC does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, nationality, gender, or disability but we reserve the right to refuse service to any individual or group.

The Spruce Lodge

Completed in June 2004, the 13-bedroom, 52 bed retreat center offers accommodations for all ages. The Spruce Lodge has incredible views of Flathead Lake and the Mission Mountains . The Lodge, as well as the attached dining facility, is fully accessible.

The dining room seats 160 with expansion options for up to 200. The dining center is a beautiful log structure with high ceilings and is a great place for wedding receptions, holiday and business parties, church functions etc.

 

Each bedroom comfortably accommodates guests in extra long twin beds. Each room has two twin singles (which can be converted to a king bed) and a twin bunk. 11 of the rooms have an added futon. All rooms have private bathrooms.

 

The retreat center also has three meeting rooms, which seat 200, 80, and 40 respectively. There is also a library with internet capabilities. 

 

Linens are provided for your convenience in the Spruce Lodge. You will find your beds made and towels in the bathrooms. Please do not take towels from rooms to the lake. We have extra towels for that purpose.

 

The Lake Lodge Complex

 

While our cabins in Lower Camp serve our summer camp program during the summer, they are available for rental from September 1 until May 31. Our main camp can hold 85 in cabins. Guests using this area will need to provide their own bedding.

These facilities are ideal for a number of retreats; youth groups, children’s groups, young adults college retreats and the budget-minded.

 

The original Lake Lodge is a small lodge, with a fireside meeting room, a dining room with seating for 65, commercial kitchen and a large deck.

 

There are three types of cabins

            - Rainbow Row Cabins – There are five camper cabins which sleep 10 in bunks

- Older Log Cabins – Single room cabins which sleep 5

 

- KOA Style Cabins – Two room cabins, the front room has one full size bed and the back room has two bunks. These are ideal of families with up to four children.

None of the cabins have bathrooms, but there are two centrally located bathhouses. All bathhouses and cabins are heated.

       

R.V Parking – There are four sites with electrical hookups. One of the bathhouses is in close proximity.
